IIT Delhi organized the fourth Pearl Reunion - reunion after 35 years - for its Alumni who passed out in 1974 and 1975 on 6th March 2011. About 50 alumni with 12 spouses attended the reunion.

Several events were held as a part of the Reunion function. The programme started with registration on 6th March at 9:00 a.m. at the foyer outside Seminar Hall. In the Seminar Hall, the Director Prof. Surendra Prasad welcomed the Alumni and their spouses on the occasion of the Pearl Reunion. The Alumni were introduced to each other through a powerpoint presentation depicting the brief background of each alumnus. The presentation was made by Mr. Mohit Agrawal, the student Coordinator for the Pearl Reunion. After the session in the Semainar Hall, everyone enjoyed High Tea. A Round Table meeting of the Alumni with Director, Deputy Directors, Deans and HoDs was organized in the Senate Room. The Director apprised the Alumni about the latest developments and the alumni initiatives at the Institute through a power point presentation. This was followed up by a question-answer and discussion session. The meeting was followed by a lunch hosted by Director in the Faculty Guest House. After lunch, the Alumni planted tree saplings and group photographs of both batches were clicked. Thereafter, Alumni had a batch meeting in an event titled “Networking & Engaging with the Alma Mater”. The Student Coordinators for Alumni Affairs alongwith General Secretaries conducted a panel discussion and asked questions on behalf of the students from alumni in an event titled "In Conversation with Student Leaders" in the Senate Room.
Besides, Alumni events, some Fun Games and a Visit to Mughal Garden were also organized for the spouses.

A campus bus tour was organized to update the Alumni with the latest infrastructure developments at their alma mater. The Alumni also visited the hostels and participated in the BHM night and Prize Distribution Function. At the closure of the Reunion, a dinner was hosted by the Director at Faculty Guest House and mementoes were presented.
